Recently, I needed to use install a wireless cable box (Xi6) to a TV mounted outside in which running a coaxial cable to was not an option. In order to get the Xi6 to work, however, Comcast had to disable bridge mode.
I have the Setting ( in windows ) set to obtain info autoomatically. on both the IPv4 and IPv6. I tryed cloning the MAC adress of the Netgear in to my router. that does not work. Just wondering if the Netgear firmware is blocking IPv4 when in bridge mode. When in bridge mode (like my xb7) the MoCA is automatically disabled (off) and no wireless radios available to let the xi5/xi6 communicate. the Xb7 will only let one internet ethernet device be connected at a time, so an unmanaged switch is needed to connect any ethernet devices.
