I talked to my local stihl dealer and they have the 462 between $1100 and $1200, they have the 461 for about $1000. Forgot to ask them about the 500i. The 441 I have now is the RCM model, which has the dual larger dawgs, larger cluth cover, full wrap handle. The dealer says they don't have that version in the 462.. Prettyskinboi

The 462 has air injection and the 500 doesn't. I'll probably put my ported 461 up for sale after getting the 500 all sorted and running the way I like it. The 462 and 500i are 2 saws where a muff mod will do you just fine. Yes, porting will wake them up more, but there is always some trade off. The mufflers on these saw are quite remarkable. A lot of engineering went into them. They have some of the largest opening areas of any produced Stihl’s and still keep the noise level down.The Husky 3120XP has a 1.02l fuel tank. The Stihl MS500i has a 785cc tank. The Stihl MS660 has a 825cc tank. So, the husky carries 30% more fuel than the 500i. Not surprising that it runs longer.
